We are so excited to introduce one of our new Strategic Growth Managers, Bob Mager. Bob is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and has expansive Medicare experience at the carrier level. Since joining Spark in February, Bob has already provided excellent support to current agency partners and helping Spark grow across the Georgia Medicare market.
Bob's career path started in the banking industry as a business banker, where he was often in the position of having to say "no" to clients. But, now he gets to come to work and tell a bunch of people "yes" by providing them with Spark’s tools and resources they need to grow their businesses while saving agents time and making them more money.
Bob has worked for several large carriers, including UHC, Cigna, Aetna, and Humana. When he joined Humana he worked his way up to becoming the Director of Sales. When he was interviewed by Humana, he had no knowledge of Medicare or Medicare Advantage. Still, they wanted him on their team immediately, due to his leadership skills and ability to create meaningful connections with clients. Ever since then, he has been passionate about Medicare.
Now, as a Strategic Growth Manager, he is actively recruiting, training, motivating, and supporting the Spark Medicare agents in Georgia, continuing his mission to improve seniors' lives.
In his personal life, Bob loves spending time with his wife and children. They are currently moving to the North Georgia mountains, where they plan to build a life they don't have to take a vacation from. Bob's vision includes driving to the mountains every weekend and enjoying the scenery with his family.
Bob's success in his career is measured by the impact he has made in the lives of others. He wants to empower agents to succeed, and he wants to continue setting the standard for agencies in Georgia. Bob is a driven, motivated, and talented individual, and the Spark team is excited to continue to grow with him.
